Breast Lift

Breast lift (mastopexy) is a surgical procedure designed to restore breasts that have sagged or lost shape to a more youthful, lifted, and balanced appearance. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight changes, gravity, and aging can lead to sagging and loss of form in breast tissue. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melekber Cavus’ approach focuses not only on lifting the breast, but also on reshaping its form, proportions, and natural position together.

What Is a Breast Lift?

Breast lift (mastopexy) is a surgical procedure designed to restore breasts that have sagged or lost shape to a more youthful, lifted, and balanced appearance. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight changes, gravity, and aging can lead to sagging and loss of form in breast tissue.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melekber Cavus’ approach focuses not only on lifting the breast, but also on reshaping its form, proportions, and natural position together.

Which Concerns Does a Breast Lift Address?

Breast lift surgery may be preferred in the following situations:

  • Downward displacement of the nipple
  • Sagging and laxity of breast tissue
  • Loss of fullness in the upper breast
  • Enlarged areola (around the nipple)
  • Reduced breast shape and projection

The goal is to achieve a more youthful, lifted breast shape that remains harmonious with the body.

Who Is a Good Candidate for a Breast Lift?

Suitable candidates for breast lift generally:

  • Are aesthetically bothered by breast sagging
  • Are in good general health
  • Have realistic expectations
  • Can follow the postoperative process and recommendations

Suitability is determined after a detailed examination and evaluation.

How Is Breast Lift Surgery Planned?

Breast lift surgery is planned individually for each patient. During planning, the following are evaluated together:

  • Degree of breast sagging
  • Nipple and areola position
  • Skin elasticity
  • Breast tissue volume

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melekber Cavus determines the most appropriate technique and incision type based on these assessments. When needed, a breast lift can be combined with implants in patients with volume loss.

How Is a Breast Lift Performed?

Breast lift surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia and takes about 2.5–3 hours. During surgery:

  • The nipple and breast tissue are moved to a more ideal position
  • Excess skin is removed
  • Breast tissue is reshaped to achieve a firmer, more lifted form
  • Incisions can be planned around the areola, vertically, or along the breast fold depending on the degree of sagging

Can a Breast Lift Be Combined With Implants?

For some patients, a breast lift alone is sufficient. In cases of significant volume loss, a breast lift can be combined with implants to improve both lift and fullness.

The most suitable method is determined based on the patient’s anatomy and expectations.

Recovery After Surgery

In the first days after a breast lift, swelling, sensitivity, and mild pain may occur. These are usually controlled quickly.

  • A special bra is used during the first week
  • Return to daily life is possible within 7–10 days for most patients
  • Sports and heavy activities are usually postponed for 3–4 weeks
  • It may take a few months for the breast shape to fully settle

Breast Lift Results

After a breast lift, the breasts appear more youthful, firm, and balanced. The goal is a result that preserves natural breast form and remains harmonious with body proportions.

Breast Lift Scars

Because incisions are planned in areas that suit breast anatomy, scars tend to fade over time. Scar healing can vary depending on individual factors.

Pricing

Pricing starts at 4.000€, depending on the details of the procedure.

The final fee may vary depending on several factors. For example, the patient's overall health condition, where the procedure will be performed, and the scope of the procedure are all considered before the final price is determined.

Legal / Ethical Information: As with any surgical procedure, breast lift results may vary from person to person. The most appropriate treatment plan is determined after examination.
